Lip Fillers in NYC
THE PROCEDURE
WHAT is Lip Augmentation?
Full lips are a sign of both femininity and masculinity. In women, they are a sign of both biological health and fertility. In men, they are a sign of ruggedness and vitality.
Thin lips can result from aging or can be genetic. Lip augmentation is one of the most common uses for fillers. Temporary fillers, such as Juvederm®, Restylane®, and Volbella® are preferred because they are safe, natural, and reversible.
Typically, temporary lip fillers last for 8-12 months. It involves a quick office procedure where numbing ointment is applied for 20 minutes or so followed by the injections. Dr. Zimm will often use microcannulas which minimize any bruising or swelling. Nonetheless, some swelling for a couple of days can occur. This is minimized by cool compresses to the area and Arnica Montana capsules after the procedure.
Dr. Zimm believes in creating full, but natural looking lips, that aren’t overfilled. Call today for a consultation with Dr. Zimm. He is specially trained in facial aesthetics and will be happy to discuss your treatment options.
