Top 5 Myths About FaceTite
Myth #1: It’s Very Painful
A local anesthetic and tumescent fluid are used to minimize any discomfort that may occur. We add a mild oral sedative (such as Xanax or Ativan) in addition to Pronox, prior to the procedure. Pronox is nitrous oxide (a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen, a.k.a. “laughing gas”), which may be used for an added calming effect without any long acting sedative properties. Pronox lasts for a short duration and, therefore, will not make you extra sleepy after the procedure (for example, you could drive 10 minutes after your procedure).
Myth #2: The Improvement is Hard to See
This is the best result you can achieve without surgery. Typically, you can realize between 30% and 40% of the results you would otherwise get from a facelift surgery, and you get to have these results without incurring a large incision. You’ll also get tightening of the tissue, which you cannot get from facelift surgery alone. This is a ‘scalpel-free’ procedure; therefore, there are no large scars that would need to heal.
Myth #3: Any Provider Can Perform the Procedure
The results are directly related to the skill – and devotion – of the practitioner, not just the treatment itself. InMode only sells their devices to surgeons who have demonstrated expertise in facial surgery. Someone who doesn’t perform facial surgery would not be qualified to perform this procedure.
Myth #4: It’s Costly
The results are directly related to the skill – and devotion – of the practitioner, not just the treatment itself. InMode only sells their devices to surgeons who have demonstrated expertise in facial surgery. Someone who doesn’t perform facial surgery would not be qualified to perform this procedure.
Myth #5: Lots of Downtime
There is less downtime than if you had facelift surgery. You will need to wear a compression garment for a few days, and then just wear the garment at night afterwards. You are essentially turning back the clock and taking years of aging off of your face and neck without having surgery.
